Celestial Butterflies Blue Urn

Silver butterflies drift across a soft blue-gray finish on the Celestial Butterflies Blue Urn, a gentle image of transformation and peace.

Made from brass, it has the solid feel and durability families look for in a permanent memorial, at home or in a columbarium niche.

The surface of this urn is not engraved. To personalize it, add an engraved medallion nameplate or set it on an engraved wood base, both available as options on this page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size urn do I need?

A common guideline is one cubic inch of capacity for every pound of body weight before cremation, so a 228 cubic inch urn like the Celestial Butterflies Blue Urn generally fits an adult who weighed up to about 228 pounds.

Can I take a metal urn on a plane?

TSA requires cremated remains in carry-on bags to pass through X-ray screening, and metal urns often cannot be screened clearly. Many families travel with the remains in a temporary container and transfer them into the urn at home. Check current TSA and airline rules before you fly.

How do I care for a brass urn?

Wipe the urn with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh chemical cleaners, which can scratch or dull the finish.

How quickly will my urn ship?

Orders placed by 1:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, ship the same business day. For engraved orders, the engraving proof needs to be approved by 1:00 PM CST to ship that day. Orders completed after the cutoff ship the next business day. Our team is available Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM CST.
